I enjoyed meeting and making a few new friends at ELF …I do think that there are many opportunities for industry and education to work together - one thing that came through for me from the panel discussions - employers are not considered as stakeholders. It may be a result of educators staying in the education system for life, and have little or no appreciation of what happens to the "educated product" once it hits the workplace. ..
Certainly, next year it would be useful to have more representation from the employers and manufactures education unit, the larger employer groups like Telecom, and some larger public sector employers MSD, IRD as well.

Thanks for listening to my concerns… I tend towards wanting to solve issues rather than just diagnose them and would have liked more time to talk about - what is our vision and what can we then do to achieve this? But as I say 2nd day was much better!

In the future it would be good to include more scenarios - building across sectors and groups working on specific challenges and opportunities in depth and maybe also some more young people involvement and building agenda for action
