Education Leaders Forum Feedback 2007 |
|
We thoroughly enjoyed the conference
Look
forward to hearing about next year's event and happy to contribute in
any way that will help
. I really appreciated my participation in the conference
I have told my colleagues that it was a very valuable
two days. I enjoyed the Forum, and so did my staff. We all made
some useful contacts and I only received positive feedback from my team. ..it was a magical venue. And a lot of hard work on
your part to bring it all together. ...interesting that this was the
Minister's last public engagement before he announced his retirement
from politics
. Thanks Lyall. I had a great time. The snow was an added
bonus! Thoroughly enjoyed the day. Wished I could have stayed
for the second! Very relevant and useful. I have never been to a forum
in NZ where so many from across the sectors were represented
Thanks
for your organisation and foresight. I enjoyed meeting and making a few new friends at ELF
I do think that there are many opportunities for industry and
education to work together - one thing that came through for me from
the panel discussions - employers are not considered as stakeholders.
It may be a result of educators staying in the education system for
life, and have little or no appreciation of what happens to the "educated
product" once it hits the workplace. ..
thanks all of your arrangements, and for organizing
an excellent programme.
I felt this was a useful beginning suggest that an
overarching framework of intems to be considered for an agenda for action
might provide greater focus for discussions, and more concrete outputs Re Online - yes will look forward to taking some discussion
further. Expected more balance between school/workplace. Useful networking - Lots of new people/organizations
- Particularly good for networking and some new ideas Congratulations on pulling together such a vibrant
group of people to education. That was an immense undertaking and generated
very valuable discussions
It was a magical site you chose
fascinating
people. Well run with a difficult mix of people to keep happy.
Well done. ..Almost like industry was an after thought. Better integration
of the role of industry - or post tertiary learning as possible topic
for next year. Blogs/discussion are great but what about a 'suggested
actions' topic category to keep its feet on the ground Thanks for listening to my concerns
I tend towards
wanting to solve issues rather than just diagnose them and would have
liked more time to talk about - what is our vision and what can we then
do to achieve this? But as I say 2nd day was much better!
