Dr Jack Bacon - Futurist, Author, U.S.A

Jack is one of the most requested speakers in the world for topics concerning technology and the factors that shape human society. A noted futurist and a technological historian, he has written three popular books entitled "My Grandfathers' Clock," "My Stepdaughter's Watch," and “The Parallel Bang,” with many thousands of copies sold of each.

His lectures have captivated tens of thousands of all ages in thirty-two countries on six continents, and he has appeared on numerous radio and television broadcasts. Dr Stuart Middleton - Executive Director of External Relations
Manukau Institute of Technology

Stuart has been awarded a Commonwealth Relation Trust Fellowship to the Univeristy of London, several Qantas Media Awards as New Zealand's best social issues columnist. In 2007 he won a Fulbright New Century Scholars Award and joined an international group of scholars studying equity and access in higher education.

Roger's current research includes the interface between finance and macroeconomics and financial risk management. He is a commentator on economic and education issues. His latest publication is “The Economic State of the Nation 2008”.

Lyall Lukey is the Managing Director of Lukey Training Resources http://www.lukey.co.nz the originator and co-ordinator of SmartNet. http://www.smartnet.co.nz. and the Convenor and Organiser, Education Leaders Forums.

Lyall has a unique background spanning the academic and business worlds. His MA Honours thesis was entitled Industrial Conflict in New Zealand. He is a former secondary school teacher and Visiting Teaching Fellow at the University of Canterbury.

Since 1984, Lukey Training Resources has worked with client organisations to enhance their intangible assets - especially what their people know and do - through knowledge sharing. The company also designs multimedia and online learning resources and business coaching programmes to fill knowledge and performance gaps.

The SmartNet initiative, which he started in 1997, helps foster innovation and create new global opportunities for New Zealand enterprises. SmartNet has an extensive database of NZ based and international consultants and experts.

He was on the Board of Cholmondeley Children's Home from 1987 to 2007 and was President from 2001 to 2005. He was made a Life Member in 2007. He is also a foundation member of the Board of Trustees of the Cholmondeley Children's Foundation.

He has been invited to speak or facilitate sessions at business and service club conferences on five continents.
